The Giants Experience

The Giants Experience programme aims to:

• Connect local kids to the fun, high energy game of basketball,
• Give those kids the opportunity to witness the hard work that goes into becoming an elite athlete,
• Learn more about the game, team spirit and sportsmanship, and to interact with the players, rubbing shoulders with career athletes.

Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park is the primary sponsor of the Experience as part of our ethos of community support and investment in Nelson Tasman’s future.

The Giants Experience includes:

• Transport to and from your school (usually in the big red double decker bus)
• Watching the Giants practise
• Discussion around the Giants’ team values and why these are important – both on the court and in everyday life
• Getting on the courts for skills practise with the players
• Fun activities, autograph collecting and photos with the players
