During our peak season (from around 20 Dec to the end of January) we run a summer events programme.
All the events – from creative workshops, live music, yoga, Housie and quiz nights, silent discos and scavenger hunts to sandcastle and volleyball competitions, children’s entertainers, bug hunts, outdoor movies and tractor trailer rides about the Park – are free for our guests to take part in – we just want you to have fun!

The Summer Beach Bus runs 7 days a week from 10am – 4:30pm between Fri 27 Dec 2024 – Sun 19 Jan 2025. Pick -up & drop-off points: Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park, Tāhunanui Beach & Nelson City.
The bus leaves Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park on the hour & Nelson City on the half hour (cnr Halifax & Trafalgar Streets). Tickets: Adult $5 / $8 return, Child $2 / $3 return, Family return (2 adults/2 children) $20. Children under 3yrs ride free. Tickets available at Reception or, with cash, on the bus.

Little Blue Food Truck is Back!
Koro will be serving a tasty menu near Block 5 (Blue Zone) again over the Peak period, from hot dogs and burgers to whitebait sandwiches and ice cream, complementing the offerings from The Deck Cafebeside Reception. Koro is expecting to operate between Fri 27 Dec 2024 to Fri 17 Jan 2025 between 10:30am-1pm & 4:30pm-7:30pm.
Pop Cycle
We will also have a Pop Cycle doing the rounds in Green and Blue Zones some early evenings – ice blocks and frozen fruits such as blueberries, raspberries and frozen mango chunks sold out of a chiller on wheels.

9.30am Tractor Trailer Ride (30mins) | Departs from the Deck Café.
10am Treasure Hunt | Marquee | Find all 16 symbols shown on the treasure cards hidden around the Blue Zone, crack the code and tell us the mystery word (s) to receive your reward! Bike or walk. Register between 10am-11am at the marquee.
Remember: Corn Toss Game, Giant Dominos & Connect 4, Croquet & Petanque sets are available at the Activities Hut by the Mini-Golf!
Thursday 30 January
10am Creative Workshop (2hrs) | Marquee | Theme: What do you hope the New Year will hold? Create your own vision board.
Friday 31 January
9.30am Tractor Trailer Ride (30mins) | Departs from the Deck Café.
10am Orienteering | Registration between 10am-11am at the Bike Hire Hub (The Gentle Cycling Co) | Navigate through the Park using a map & compass to find a series of checkpoints as fast as you can!
Corn Toss Game, Giant Dominos & Connect 4, Croquet & Petanque sets are available at the Activities Hut by the Mini-Golf.
