We are delighted to welcome four-legged guests between 1 Feb and 30 Nov in our Green Zone (camping only). Our on-site café is dog-friendly, as is the section of public beach beside Green Zone, known as Back Beach.
Below are our requirements to ensure you, your pet and other guests have a good experience staying at Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park. Be sure to let us know you have a pet staying with you.
Pet Policies
Dogs are only allowed in the Green zone (camping only) from the 1 February till 30 November. We have a No-Pets Policy over December/January due to the large number of guests staying on-site.
All dogs must be walked on a lead or tied up at all times.
Pets are not permitted inside any Holiday Park buildings including our roofed accommodation. If evidence of this is found, a $150 cleaning fee may apply.
No dogs are to be left unattended at any time within the Holiday Park.
Dogs must be quiet and not disturb other guests. If your dog comes across as aggressive, improperly treated or a disturbance, we may ask you to leave.
Please clean up your pet’s waste and dispose of it thoughtfully.
All dogs staying at the Holiday Park must be registered and all pets are required to have the appropriate vaccinations.
There is a maximum of two dogs allowed per site.
Visitors are not permitted to bring their pets into the Holiday Park, only guests.
Some of our Powered and Non-Powered Sites in the Green Zone are pet friendly! No need to leave your furry friends at home, you can just bring them with you!

If you are someone who lives with the support of a Disability Assist Dog, then you are welcome to bring them to stay with you. The dog must be certified as a Disability Assist Dog by an approved organisation like the Blind Foundation, Assistance Dogs NZ or Hearing Dogs for Deaf People NZ. If you are travelling with an assistance dog, we ask that you please let us know in advance so we can make sure our staff are aware and are prepared ahead of your arrival.
