We are proud to support a number of organisations that connect our community and make it a better place to live, play and work.
Natureland provides a hands-on experience for families to engage with animals and connect more with nature. A safe, affordable and accessible place for families, Natureland is home to all sorts of wildlife from meerkats and alpacas to tufted capuchin, lemurs and more! Behind the scenes Natureland works with conservation partners to achieve and enhance valuable biodiversity of our environment, starting in our own backyard.
The Giants Experience is a programme of school engagement in Nelson, whereby primary school children spend a morning with our NBL (National Basketball League) team The Giants, as they train and practice.
A hands-on experience that aims to encourage confidence and active play in our young people. Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park sponsors this worthy programme during the season, connecting today’s players with tomorrow’s.
The Sanctuary is the largest fenced sanctuary in the South Island (second largest in Aotearoa), and just 15 minutes’ drive from the Holiday Park.
With an active reintroduction programme that is already seeing success and results we are proud to support the regeneration of nature in Nelson Tasman by being a Brook Business Club member.
Tahuna FC is a competitive adult football club located in Tāhunanui – ie our backyard. Four men’s teams compete across Divisions I – V, with one women’s team in Division II.
Playing regularly at Tāhunanui Reserve and across Te Tauihu (top of the South), we’re proud to support our local club and wish all the teams a successful season for 2024!
Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief – to serve their community. We have a great connection with our local Lions Clubs and proud to support their fundraising efforts. One of our most recent collab is for the Starship Children’s Hospital. By placing several aluminium can collection points around our Holiday Park, with the help of our guests, we collect and recycle hundreds of kgs of aluminium cans each year. Amazing how a little effort collectively, goes such a long way.
We are a proud supporter of the Fifeshire Foundation, which is a local charity assisting people in hardship and domestic crises in Nelson/Tasman. They support individuals and families in need as well as organisations who work with people in need. Every dollar donated to their Foundation goes back to the community in our region when they pay for goods and services on people’s behalf.
Big Brothers Big Sisters actively makes a difference in young peoples’ lives every day. Working in collaboration with a variety of agencies and organisations including NZ Police, this vital buddy mentoring programme which is now nationwide, but began, as so many good things do, in Nelson.
Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park supports the essential work of Big Brothers Big Sisters through fundraising prizes and providing activities for the buddies to do together.
We are proud to be a silver sponsor of The Nelson Roller Sports Club in Tahunanui. The NRSC is a non-profit organization owned and operated by its members. It serves as the home of four established skating codes: Artistic/Precision, Speed, Inline Hockey, and Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby. They run public skating sessions three times a week, and every day in the school holidays. Over 7000 people pass through their rink annually at these sessions.
