Meet Julia Mak our Marketing and Events Coordinator at Tahuna Beach Holiday Park

👋 Meet Julia Mak, our Marketing and Events Coordinator at Tahuna Beach Holiday Park and Motels. With a diverse background in engineering management, hospitality, real estate, sales and marketing, Julia brings variety to our team.

Beginning her journey from Hungary, Julia ventured to New Zealand in 2006 with just a backpack and fell in love with our beautiful country. After spending 15 years in Auckland, she moved to Nelson in 2021 with her husband and two adorable kids. Now, she’s a proud Kiwi citizen, calling Nelson home. 🏡

Julia’s career started at a large international airport, measuring customer satisfaction. She has since explored various roles, igniting a passion for tourism and hospitality. Plus – fun fact – as a child, she once starred in a TV commercial advertising orange juice! 🍊

As a proud wife and mother, Julia enjoys yoga, Buddhist meditation, photography, nature walks, art, and design. She even used to teach Yoga! Outside work, she loves spending time with friends and exploring the region’s beauty, like Rabbit Island and Kaiteriteri Beach. 🌅

Here at  Tahuna, Julia started in June 2023. She assists the team with marketing and coordinates our summer events programme. The unbeatable location and supportive team make working at the Holiday Park a delight for her.

Her favourite spots to eat in Nelson? East Street and Nicola’s Cantina. 🍽️
